DRIVER / OWNER

Russell Hildenbrand is an entrepreneur running the family business of Hildenbrand Lime and Fertilizer in Madison, Pennsylvania. A self motivated self-made businessman, he has worked his way up through the ranks in both his business and professional racing career. In his spare time he has been tearing up the record books of tracks all over the country with his nitromethane fueled drag bike. Russell, age 37, has been racing professionally on Harley-Davidson motorcycles for 11 years. Over the years, he has ridden his motorcycles to numerous national event wins and set National speed and elapsed time records. For the past two years he consistently qualified for the main event. Starting off 11 years ago with a modified 90 cubic inch Sportster at the New Waterford and Rawlings dirt drags, Russ began to develop his racing personality. Wearing only an open face helmet and no leathers while racing rarely slowed him down. It wasn't long before he moved from the Sportster into the more powerful 114 and 120 cubic inch single cam Big Twin Harley-Davidson.

In 1988 Russ got onto his first carbureted pro dragster. He was the first driver in the world to record 4 second runs in the 1/8 mile and 7 second runs in the ¼ mile with a single speed Harley-Davidson. Russ enjoyed considerable success with 26 national event wins at racetracks from California to Florida. For the races he didn't win he usually ended up in either the semi or final rounds.

Russ oversees all aspects of research and development on his "Plum Krazy" motorcycle, which gives him the ability to be completely in touch with the way the bike, performs. He and his motorcycle are always ready to race, and WIN, against nationally ranked competition. Russ is no stranger to the record books having set 7 national records. His performance over the past 2 seasons shows he's ready to compete nationally. and take the team to a new level of success in Pro-fuel class.

Finishing the 1999 season with strong wins, Russ set his sights on 2000. The 2000 season provided Russ additional incentive for 2001 after wins at Bristol, Tennessee and Budds Creek, Maryland, a 180.40 MPH AHDRA World record in the 1/8-mile at Rockingham, North Carolina, and ending the season as the AHDRA Eastern Division Champion in the Pro-fuel class. keep checking www.cyclesource.com for updates to the Cycle Source Racing page.
